Departing Cairns we’ll take a 45-minute ferry to the Island, and the rest of the day is up to you! Boat departs 11am so you have time for a sleep in! Returning to Cairns at 5pm.
Once on the island you’ll be free to relax, play and explore this remarkable slice of paradise as you please.
There's plenty to do on the Island! You can hire kayaks, snorkel gear and paddle boards. There is also a café and general store so you’ll be set for lunch and snacks to keep you fuelled throughout the day. Take a tour of the Turtle Rehabilitation Centre, this can also be booked at additional cost on the day.
The Fitzroy Island is surrounded by the famous Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and is perfect for snorkelling or diving. The reef system is world heritage listed and is an absolute must-see for anyone visiting the region!
The beaches are safe and sheltered, ideal for swimming with the kids or simply relaxing on the beachside and soaking in the picturesque scenery.
There is plenty to explore on land too with multiple walks through the lush island tropical rainforest.
A brilliant way to explore one of Australia’s iconic scenic destinations, and a fantastic day out that the whole family will love!
Things to do:
Nature Walks: There are many beautiful self-guided nature walks on the island.
Dive & Adventure Centre: You can hire equipment from the Fitzroy Island Dive Centre including kayaks, snorkel & fins and stand up paddle boards, plus book your glass bottom boat adventures here too.
Turtle Rehab Tours: Take a tour of the Turtle Rehabilitation Centre on Fitzroy Island and meet the patients.
Island Facilities:
Foxy’s Bar: Enjoy a coffee, cold drink or lunch at Foxy’s Bar
General Store: Located adjacent to Foxy’s, you can purchase refreshments, snacks and general needs. You can also book your Turtle Tour at the General Store.

We offer three departure options from Cairns and three return from Fitzroy Island:
Departing Cairns - 11am departing Cairns
Departing Fitzroy Island - 5pm

혼자 갔다오기 딱 좋아요
왕복 표가 그리 비싸지도 않고 저처럼 스노쿨 장비를 빌리지 않으시면 예쁜 섬을 저렴하고 간편하게 왔다갔다 하실 수 있을 거예요!! 섬 볼 건 없지만 깔끔해서 바다랑 트래킹이 정말 만족스러웟어요 그대신 도시락정도 챙겨오시면 더 만족스럽게 보내실 수 있을 것 같아요 완전 추천해요! 혼자 다녀왔는데도 하나도 안 심심하고 너무 즐거웟습니당

Wouldn’t travel again
Fitzroy Island itself was stunning, however the journey to and from was less than ideal. The ferry on the way to the island was quite old and run down, and about 20 minutes into our journey there were some kind of engine troubles and the boat stopped moving and we were floating (going nowhere) for quite a while. We eventually got going again, however arrived way later than planned to the island. The return ferry experience however was worse as it didn’t show! - In fact we saw it being towed away in the distance (broken down again). All passengers were left stranded on the pier in very hot weather with no shade. We finally boarded another boat well over an hour late. While the staff on the ground were doing their best, and I understand that issues do happen, it was very disappointing that no compensation was offered to passengers. Would not book with this company again.

Beautiful Island
The vessel to the island is good ,fast and clean however the information was very disappointing. The audio was muffled and told us nothing about our day trip.The minimum information should is about the island,what to expect,what to look forward to and what to be careful of such as stringers and how to prepare for our day.In typical Aussie fashion,all they told us was the bar was open ,disappointing to see an epic fail in my own country,in front of many international visitors,it was embarrassing.Surely,the tour company can make more effort and talk up the experience instead taking the passengers for granted because they have choices. We were disappointed with poor service in the equipment hire shop with lack detail and given clothing & diving masks that needed to be returned.When my wet suit was returned the lady in the return area gave me a verbal spray for folding out the arm of the suits.Terrible to spoken to that way by a person in the shop. The serious issue was around safety and the stringers in the sea.No one told us ANYTHING about the dangers and we learnt for another passenger that a person was strung yesterday in the same waters we were swimming in. What happened if you got stung ? The passengers said you must put vinegar on the bite area. No one in the hire shop explained what to look for ,such as small creatures in shallow waters are most likely places to get bitten and we only found this out by googling to matter when the day was over.Surely,there should be a person from Fitzroy island patrolling the beach and telling people about the dangers.However,no your on your own and another epic fail .We even saw people fishing with Thier rods on the beach,in the coral reef where we were swimming ,surely this is no allowed ? Sorry ,I can’t recommend this trip until the tour company and owner of the island lifts their game and becomes more professional along with the concerns of passengers about safety and issue of stingers.

최고!!
케언즈에 아침 8시 반 경에 도착하는 일정이었는데 그날 하루를 날리고싶지 않았어요. 그래서 찾아봤는데 다 7시, 9시 이렇게 이른 시간에 시작하는거밖에 없어서 혹시 비행기 지연이라도 되면 돈 날릴까봐 걱정도 들었습니다. 그런데 좋은 기회로 북미에서 왕복 티켓을 저렴하게 겟 했어요. 11시에 출발해서 가장 늦게 오후 5시경에 돌아오는 일정이었어요. 물론 오후 늦게 되어가니 바람도 많이 불고 파도도 거세져서 더이상 물놀이를 하진 못했지만, 해가 져가며 바다 위에 비치는 윤슬도 감상하고 다른 투어사 일정보다 여유로운 느낌이었어요.
