Pack your camera, round up your friends and prepare for a lovely day out exploring Hobart by water.

Jump aboard our ‘Spirit of Hobart’ vessel where you will be greeted by our friendly, highly experienced crew members who are dedicated to providing you with quality service and will ensure you have a fantastic day out.

Take your pick from either the North or South route - both of which visit iconic landmarks, historic locations, beautiful scenery and other Hobart gems.

You’ll hear interesting commentary from the skipper and enjoy getting a different perspective of each location which can only be fully appreciated by boat and may even be lucky enough to spot some dolphins or seals frolicking about in the river!


The North route: (11am and 2:45pm cruise)

Travels up the river going inland, passing the Botanical Gardens, Government House, under Tasman Bridge, crossing over the river to Rose Bay, then coming back from Montagu Bay.

The South route: (1:45pm cruise)

Goes down the river around the bay, passing Battery Point, Sandy Bay, Casino, then over to eastern shore towards Bellerive Bluff and finally coming back from Kangaroo Bay.

Departure Point: Murray Street Pier, Hobart

Infants and children 0-4 years go free - no need to pre book a space

Location

  • We are located at Murray St Pier. Please note that there is no sign stating the name of this pier, so you can find our office just outside of Franklin Wharf Restaurant and Bar.
  • Please look at a white and grey wood cabin.
