The highlight of course were the penguins. It was a very cold windy night. We sat on the stand in front of the beach - but we saw only a couple of penguins coming out of the water onto the beach. However as we walked back along the boardwalk we were pleasantly surprised to see many groups of penguins walking along side us behind the fence. They were very close and we were able to see them clearly. Very cute and tiny. On the way to Phillip Island we stopped at many places - including an animal sanctuary, a beach, a chocolate factory and a dinner break at a country town. Overall a good trip at a great price.
