Great Barrier Reef Snorkel Day Tour from Cairns - SeaQuest
Embark on a Great Barrier Reef day trip from Cairns with Divers Den and experience the vibrant, diverse underwater world through snorkelling, it's the perfect way to explore the reef up close.

Your adventure begins with a scenic 90-minute boat ride from Cairns to the Outer Reef, where you'll be able to snorkel at some of the most breathtaking reef sites. You’ll have up to 4 hours to explore the reef and experience two incredible sites.
We’ll carefully select two of the top reef sites based on the day’s conditions, with incredible spots along the rich and diverse Norman, Saxon, and Hastings Reefs.
On your day out on Sea Quest, you'll have the chance to witness a stunning array of marine life, from vibrant tropical fish and beautiful coral formations to turtles and the occasional clownfish (Nemo). With Divers Den, you’ll travel in comfort on our modern vessel, and choose to relax on the deck or in our comfortable lounge area, and enjoy a delicious lunch during your day.
Please note: Sea Quest is a transfer vessel offering snorkeling excursions only, and on the return journey, we’ll make our way to our liveaboard vessel, Ocean Quest, where we’ll dock at around 2:00pm for a smooth transfer for those guests embarking or disembarking from the liveaboard. The transfer takes about 30 minutes, and then we’ll continue our 90-minute journey back to Cairns.

Fuel Recovery Surcharge -travel dates fromApril 1st 2026 – September 30th 2026.
This company charges a fuel levy of $10 per person payable directly to the tour company after booking. The tour company will reach out directly to arrange payment of $10 per person prior to day of travel.
- 8am - Check in at the boat - Cairns Marlin Marina, C-Finger
- 10.30am - Commence first snorkel location
- 12pm - Tropical buffet lunch
- 1pm - Second snorkel location
- 2.30pm - Stop off at live-aboard vessel, OceanQuest, to transfer our passengers who are staying aboard this multi day vessel
- 3pm - Start making our journey back to Cairns
- 4.30pm - Arrive back at Marlin Marina, Cairns
