Join us for a day trip from Cairns to the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation, where the world’s oldest tropical rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef.

Highlights

  • Scenic experience on the scenic coastal drive
  • Welcome to Country and Smoke Ceremony at Mossman Gorge with the Traditional Owners
  • The chance for a fresh-water swim at Mossman Gorge
  • Guided rainforest boardwalk
  • Crocodile spotting on the Wildlife Cruise

Join us for a day trip to the Daintree Rainforest, where the world’s oldest tropical rainforest meets the iconic Great Barrier Reef. This unique region is the only place on Earth where two World Heritage-listed sites exist side by side. With its incredible natural beauty and ecological significance, this full-day tour allows plenty of time to explore and appreciate this remarkable environment.

Heading north our first stop is at Mossman Gorge, which is in the southern sector of the world-famous Daintree National Park. This gorge has been carved out by the cold mountain waters of Mossman River. It's a magical place and you'll participate in a "Welcome to Country and Smoke Ceremony" with the traditional owners.

Next, it’s time to explore this ancient rainforest environment on an interesting, guided tour of the Mossman Gorge. Our highly trained guides will give expert rainforest interpretation, which will inform and impress. Be amazed at the huge diversity you will encounter, everything from low lying ferns and shrubs to the massive rainforest canopy.

There is an opportunity for you to enjoy a refreshing swim in the cascading waters.

Your next stop will be a Wildlife Cruise on the Daintree River where you might see a crocodile and other native wildlife, while learning about the fragile ecosystem of this impressive serpent-like river system.

You are now on the north side on the Daintree River where our guide will meet you for your next stop.

Enjoy a delicious lunch in the rainforest, before a guided rainforest and beach walk. Here you will be able to see 'Where the Rainforest meets the Reef' - 2 UNESCO World-Heritage Listed Sites.

Your final stop of the day will be at the Daintree Ice Cream Co – where you can enjoy deliciously exotic fruit ice cream made on site, in small artisan style batches. Yum! [At own cost.]

Then it’s back on to the bus for the return journey to your accommodation.

Perfekt

Lustige Tour dank Tourguide

A very late start''

Didn't start off well...was to be picked up at 7.10am , by 7.35 they still hadn't come; rang a few times to get a recorded msg that couldn't connect, even sent an email..wasn't happy at all when l was about to go to my room the bus showed up. Once on our way it turned out to be a great full day. Adam was the tour guide, who did a great job explaining all he could about the Daintree forest, and the beaches. The 'welcome' ceremony , l found to be interesting, explaining about their culture, in food and some medicines , boomerang and digeridoo. The river cruise was great , with a special guide to explain all about the fresh water crocos, we were lucky we saw at least 5 on our 45 min journey, then Mossman gorge was a great place to just sit and enjoy some down time or have a quick dip.. Overall it was a great day , saw many things and worth every cent.
