This exciting expedition departs Cairns, taking you on a relaxing 45 minute journey from the mainland to Green Island, a coral cay on the reef.

Upon arrival you'll have the day to explore this stunning island, including the tropical rainforest and surrounding reef. If you're feeling adventurous, take your pick from a number of walking trails and boardwalks throughout the island and get up close to the natural environment this island is known for.

You'll also have the option to add on water based extras. Explore the majestic underwater world by self guided snorkel, or see the reef from up above on board a glass bottom boat. You will save if pre purchased at checkout, or purchase on the day of travel subject to availability.

All our vessels are pram friendly. The beach areas are not practical for prams however there are boardwalks and pathways throughout the island that are suitable. Prams can be stored on Big Cat if needed.

Super visite !

Traversée agréable avec un bateau qui ne bougeait quasiment pas (ce que mon mari et ma fille redoutaient car ils sont malades en bateau). La journée sur l'île a été extraordinaire, les fonds marin de toute beauté et tout de suite à portée, même des plus petits. Il y a toutes les commodités sur l’île. Nous avons préféré la plage surveillée où il y avait plus de poissons, et même des tortues. Au retour, nous avons eu la chance de voir des baleines, fantastique ! Équipage aux petits soins, nous recommandons !

So glad I only paid $70 thru bookme

I would never go again! Biggest regret was the tide went out within an hour of being there so nowhere to snorkel or even cool off with a swim.( so glad I didn’t pay for any extras!!) The ferry was packed with 99% asians spewing into bags, the staff were all giving announcements in what I guess was Chinese, the ferry aircon was so cold I had to stand outside in the wind to warm up,the $2 coffee was lukewarm warm and when I asked for a hot replacement was told abruptly “we have no control over temperature “, the island was crowded, chaotic ,expensive ,dirty and smelly , I went on three boats/ ferry over the week I was there and the other two were brilliant and would go again ( Fitzroy flyer and Seastar) on a more positive note I did get to see a turtle from the back of the boat just on departure and the feeding of trevally by the marine biologist, who spoke English which was appreciated!!

A Top Day!

We had a smooth trip with smiling attentive crew to a magical place! Green Island offers day trippers so much! Food, swimming pool, and a patrolled sandy beach as well as a variety of snorkeling experiences. Not to mention the beautiful turtles ❤️
