On this epic tour you'll enjoy up to 6.5 hours to explore Fitzroy Island with a scenic 45 minute ferry ride there and back.
We depart from Cairns at 8:30am and arrive at Fitzroy around 9.15am, then departing Fitzroy Island by 4:00pm and arriving in Cairns approx. 4.45pm, giving you plenty of time to soak in the island's natural beauty including its vibrant marine life and stunning coral. Plus, there are optional extras to enhance your experience.
Purchasing this ticket will give you the return transfer Fitzroy Island on our Fitzroy Ferry. These are some of the experiences you can book directly with Fitzroy Island Adventures:

Great price
The ferry was great and Fitzroy island is incredible. I had a wonderful day snorkeling and exploring. It was very nice to do on my own.

Had an amazing day. The staff on the boat were really helpful and friendly. They are well trained in all aspects of their work. Fitzroy Island is an Australian GEM 💎 Was my second time going to Fitzroy Island and I just can’t get enough of this pristine island. Just do it 👍🏻

Great stuff out there
Top marks to Book Me, who I hadn’t used before. I messed up and booked two trips instead of one. I expected to be charged a fee to cancel but I emailed Book Me and they refunded the second trip without penalty. Much appreciated and I will definitely use your services again. The trip itself was very good value at $60 each return, but the weather was against us so we spent about 2 hours sitting under a tree. The garden walk and the Nudey Beach walk are short but involve steep steps up and down rocks and are difficult for anyone with bad knees/arthritis. The boat trip on the way back to Cairns was lovely as the sun finally came out.

Well pleased
Our trip to Fitzroy was March 13 2026. It was a pleasant surprise of quiet beauty, and a well run adventure. The crew were very helpful,the equipment exceeded our expectations, and the hand of God has a special treat here for anyone who will go. Bless the Lord it was well worth the price and time!

Relaxing day
Boat was good size, plenty of space, modern and smooth on the water. Crew were friendly. Long enough day to do a few things without being rushed. Once on the island I got a coffee and followed the trail to nudy beach and do some whale spotting. Then explored a few other trails before getting lunch. Then went for a snorkel off a different beach, quite a bit to see if you get the right area. Enough time to get off and change and do some reading before catching the boat back.
